§ 01
What you'll do
- Expense reports, receipts, invoicing and payments, and support for monthly closing
- Accounting for government-funded R&D and subsidy programs (organizing evidence, preparing audit materials)
- General affairs: mail, supplies, asset management, and arranging health checkups
- Paperwork for onboarding/offboarding, resident tax, and social insurance (with our outsourced HR partner)
- Visitor registration and reception, and business-trip arrangements for executives
- Contract management, ISMS evidence, and writing manuals and automating routine work
- Also includes secretarial and administrative work (executive scheduling, support for internal events and recruiting)
- Compensation: JPY 4.5M–6.5M per year for full-time, depending on experience. Part-time is negotiable for experienced candidates (JPY 1,800–2,500 per hour, depending on experience). Full-time staff work on-site at our Roppongi office with fully flexible hours, but some meetings require attendance, such as the daily 7:30 a.m. team meeting. For part-time, working days and hours are negotiable (please attend the morning meeting on office days). Partial remote work can be discussed for childcare or family-care needs

Must-haves
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in general affairs and/or accounting at a company
- Experience running day-to-day accounting (expenses, invoices, receipts) on your own
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and cloud accounting / expense tools
- Handles confidential work accurately and carefully
- A track record of going further than most people would, and the ability to explain the circumstances and your own decisions concretely (any field)
- Experience seeing something through in an unreasonable situation, or breaking through after being turned down repeatedly
- Experience building trust single-handedly with a first-time client or a senior counterpart on site
- Experience taking ownership of your assigned work and seeing it through without waiting for instructions

Nice to have
- Parents and homemakers are welcome (if you want to balance work with childcare or family)
- Experience running a back office alone or in a small team at a startup
- Accounting for government subsidies or commissioned projects
- Monthly/annual closing, or bookkeeping knowledge (Level 2 or equivalent)
- HR administration (onboarding, social insurance, payroll)
- Experience with ISMS or similar certifications

Terms & employment
Full-time (3-month probation). Full flextime / remote OK. Location: Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, Minato-ku, Tokyo (relocating near Ōmori in 2027). Stock options available.
